Praise for The Bomb That Never Was

“Hitler has the bomb, and it’s headed for the USA. This meticulously researched historical novel will have you asking, ‘What if?’ This is an intelligent, fast-paced page-turner that will make you forget that you already know how it all turns out. Provocative, informative, and entertaining—I couldn’t put it down.”

—Joseph P. DeSario, author of Limbo and Sanctuary and coauthor of Crusade: Undercover Against the Mafia & KGB

“Authoritative and credible in its attention to detail, The Bomb That Never Was captures the spirit and temper of the WWII years and raises some deep philosophical questions about loyalty, treason, and commitment to country. A page-turner … tough to put down … a story well told.”

—Robert L. Aaron, journalist and public relations executive

My Review

I admit it – I’m a history buff. That doesn’t mean I just like to read non-fiction, but if a fiction book puts a new spin on a historical event I try to read that too. Actually, I am more interested in that at this point as I’ve read just about everything on can on certain historical events. Especially WWII. I even watch documentaries and movies focused on history. I know, I know, what a nerd, lol!

I am always a little leary when I pick up a fiction book that focuses on history, especially when they intend to put a new spin on things. It can be hard to weave a tale that does justice to the events – even if it is fiction you need to do a lot of research. And it is obvious this author has done just that. If Hitler had a bomb and he had it heading towards the US, what would have changed? How would political leaders and parties reacted? This book explores this and so much more. Where would loyalty lie? This was a tough book to read and a tough book to put down. In today’s world where there is so much turmoil, I worry about what our future holds. Will books like this help guide us?
